How It All Started
Snellville Christian Church began with a small group of believers who shared a vision for establishing a Christ-centered congregation in the Snellville community. After a season of prayer, planning, and organizational meetings, the church held its first formal gathering and soon began regular Sunday morning worship services.
In its earliest days, the congregation met at Britt Elementary School. During this foundational season, Dr. Bill Bravard, then Dean of Students at Atlanta Christian College, served as the temporary minister. From the very beginning, the church experienced strong attendance and commitment, with many individuals becoming charter members and laying the groundwork for Snellville Christian Church's future.
Recognizing the need for a permanent home, a Property Committee was formed and secured land on Highway 124, south of downtown Snellville. Leadership was established through the appointment of elders, and the church launched its first youth ministry while actively seeking a full-time minister to lead the growing congregation.

nder the leadership of its first full-time minister, the church experienced steady growth and began planning for a permanent church building on the Highway 124 property. Construction moved forward with the completion of the building’s exterior, while members of the congregation generously volunteered their time and skills to complete the interior work. The church later celebrated its first worship service in the new facility and dedicated the building with great joy.
As the congregation continued to grow, additional expansions were needed to support worship, baptism, education, and fellowship. New wings were added, the sanctuary was enlarged, and the balcony was remodeled to accommodate an increasing number of families. Each expansion reflected the church’s commitment to meeting the spiritual and practical needs of its members.
The vision continued to expand beyond worship space. A Youth and Family Life Center was developed to support ministries for children, students, and families. Additional staff were brought on to strengthen music, youth, and children’s ministries, ensuring that the church could disciple people at every stage of life.
The generosity of the church family and community also played a key role during this season. A significant land donation adjacent to the church property opened new development opportunities, including improved parking and facility renovations. Throughout these years, Snellville Christian Church remained focused on growth, stewardship, and ministry impact.

Snellville Christian Church continues to move forward with a heart for the gospel, a passion for discipleship, and a commitment to serving the next generation. Through strategic planning, facility improvements, and faithful stewardship, the church has worked to eliminate debt and position itself for long-term ministry impact.
Today, the church remains focused on nurturing spiritual growth, strengthening families, investing in children and students, and reaching the surrounding community with the love of Christ. With each new season, Snellville Christian Church looks ahead with faith and expectancy, trusting God to guide its mission and future.
